Sutton Clock Shop has been serving New Yorkers for well over 60 years and the store, with it’s unique pocket watch hanging high above Lexington Ave at 61st Street, has been a visual landmark on the Upper East Side for many, many years.

Knud honed his technique for repairing clocks in his home country of Denmark and brought his talents across the pond in the late 1940’s. Kay and Yeager (formerly of Sutton Trading Shop) joined forces and soon opened the Sutton Clock Shop in the tiny loft at 139 East 61st Street.

Knud’s youngest son, Sebastian, a lifelong apprentice (always looking over his father's shoulder as he worked at his bench), officially came on board in the late 1980’s. Today, father and son work contentedly side by side fixing any problem your clock or barometer may present.
